STAFFORD, VA. X Corp Solutions (X Corp), a growing defense contractor with headquarters in Stafford, VA commenced construction of the CSCE in April of this year. The level of interest has continued to surge from business, government entities and students in the area whom are longing for training, networking and career enhancing opportunities. The demand has been so strong that it has convinced X Corps leadership to acquire the adjacent three and one-half parcel for phase two of the development.
“The acquisition for phase two expansion is in line with several elements of strategic value to both X Corp Solutions as well as the Quantico Corporate Center. Amazon is coming to town and that is going to increase the office space requirement for highly trained engineers and subject matter experts. Additionally, the expansion of the economy usually follows an increase in commercial building and development. Our project is in line with growing requirements from the government elements resident within a 5-mile area where they will require specific office needs as well as more data center capability. Finally, as a government contractor we are looking at the strategic positioning of our facilities and acquisitions to be the place to come for highly trained and relevant professional tracks in cybersecurity, intelligence, information technology and all related areas like artificial intelligence, virtual reality modeling and simulation, quantum computing, and even blockchain training and education. I believe this will be the nexus of the next economic boom in Stafford County” said Cesar Nader, CEO of X Corp Solutions.
Despite one of the highest rainfall years on record, the facility starting to become known as the region’s premier location for cyber training, education, testing and workforce development carries on. Given its Marine Corps foundation, it is no surprise that the Cyber Security Center of Excellence (CSCE) located at the Quantico Corporate Center in Stafford, VA is still on schedule to deliver this upcoming summer of 2019.
Negotiations are progressing with the lead university tenant that is anticipated to occupy the entire first floor. Additionally, the company’s “Cyber Bytes” monthly networking event has gained traction and seen an increased attendance throughout the summer. The next event is scheduled for 4:30 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Major General (Ret.) Upon completion, the CSCE will feature 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art technology housing a true Cyber Ecosystem. Working in tandem with a university tenant, the center has been designed to create a pipeline of Cyber professionals and students through lifelong education and training to certification.
